4. Grantee Obligations

Organizations and individuals that receive grant funding from the Abele Family Foundation are bound by the terms of their individual grant agreement, which specifies the grant amount, payment schedule, reporting requirements, permitted uses of funds, and grant period. Grantees must use funds exclusively for the purposes described in the approved proposal and budget. Any material changes to the scope, budget, timeline, or key personnel of a funded project must be approved in writing by the Foundation prior to implementation. Grantees are required to submit interim and final narrative and financial reports as specified in the grant agreement. Failure to comply with reporting requirements may result in suspension of payments, return of unused funds, or ineligibility for future grants.

5. Intellectual Property & Publications

Grantees retain ownership of intellectual property created with Foundation funding. However, grantees agree to acknowledge the Abele Family Foundation's support in publications, reports, press releases, and public communications related to the funded project. The Foundation may reference grantee projects, organizations, and outcomes in its own communications, annual reports, and website content, subject to standard journalistic fair use practices. The Foundation will not use grantee-created content for commercial purposes without the grantee's written consent.
